In 1984, Bob Thompson founded Benefit Management Group, an employee benefits consulting firm that by the early 1990’s morphed into BMG Financial Group as additional services were added. During the 90’s, as technology and bandwidth were expanding, Bob made the strategic change in delivery of services, creating a virtual corporation well before most competitors. The idea was to vet the service providers that he knew both regionally and nationally in order to bring best-in-class providers, regardless of the services needed. This innovative approach led to the birth of First Texas Alliance Corp (FTAC), a name that best described the advice, products and services available. Today, FTAC collaborates with a network of expert alliance members, serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and their team as well as professionals throughout the state of Texas.
